Recently I’ve been experimenting with ingredients that I rarely ate before: sage and figs. You can check out my raw vegan gluten-free blueberry cobbler to see how I incorporated figs into the recipe.
This dressing is excellent for salads that include both vegetables and fruits.
- 1 pint raspberries
- 3-5 garlic cloves
- 3-5 dried figs
- 1 TBS chia seeds
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 handful sage leaves
- Rinse raspberries and put in food processor
- Add the remaining ingredients to food processor and blend until well combined.
- Pour on your favorite salad!

Since, it contains chia seeds, the dressing will be thick. If you don’t like thick dressings, then you can add a little water or more lemon juice to thin it out.
I’ve played with this recipe a few times just to spice things up a bit. Instead of lemon juice, you can add 2-3 mandarin oranges. You can also add sundried tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, and mustard to make it more of a vinaigrette.
