Raspberry Sage Salad Dressing

Standard

Recently I’ve been experimenting with ingredients that I rarely ate before: sage and figs.  You can check out my raw vegan gluten-free blueberry cobbler to see how I incorporated figs into the recipe.

This dressing is excellent for salads that include both vegetables and fruits.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 3-5 garlic cloves
  • 3-5 dried figs
  • 1 TBS chia seeds
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 handful sage leaves

Directions:

  1. Rinse raspberries and put in food processor
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to food processor and blend until well combined.
  3. Pour on your favorite salad!

Here is a picture of the salad I made along with this dressing on the day I took the picture.

Since, it contains chia seeds, the dressing will be thick.  If you don’t like thick dressings, then you can add a little water or more lemon juice to thin it out.

I’ve played with this recipe a few times just to spice things up a bit.  Instead of lemon juice, you can add 2-3 mandarin oranges.  You can also add sundried tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, and mustard to make it more of a vinaigrette.

Play with the recipe and add and subtract whatever you like. Also feel free to try my zesty orange tomato salad dressing. Comment below if you try this salad dressing.

Be happy. Be healthy. Be the best version of yourself possible.

Love always,
